Really, I see them work all the time at the track. After a hard session of roadracing most of the evos have plenty of oil in their cans. Its also funny that all drag cars use them as well and they do their job.

The final hose is a larger gauge and just drops to the bottom of the car to vent fumes to atmosphere.

Tah dah, all done.
huh? 2 connections on the valve cover?

I thought the final hose you are reffering to goes back into the intake pipe. If the hose just vented to the atmosphere, there really would be no purpose for the the oil catch can. You could just use a breather filter if that were the case.

they definatly work. Thats why when you dont use one and you take off your intake you can see oil residue on the inside of the intake or at the inlet of the turbo...

okay...so we got 2 things coming off the valve cover....breather and pcv...
we're diverting both of those to the catch can.

thats cool...sounds like the best idea i've heard so far.

now, there is a larger diameter tube. we're gonna dump that to atmosphere? does that mean we put caps on both the original outlet sides of the breahter tube and PCV tube? (to guard against vacuum leaks?) is dumping those fumes/oil to atmosphere legal anywhere?
