Skunk2 made great Honda cams... matter of fact, stage 1 and 2 cams were the weapons of choice in the all motor Type R circles. However, I don't know that these are "real Skunk2's", or if the Evo application is a good grind.

Do you have any experience with Jun Or Tomei cams.I've been told that the higher lift will make more power than HKS type cams.I want to get the best for my MR even if it costs a little more$.I just haven't seen anybody write in about these cams.

If you are going to go there $$$ look at Pipers... and don't forget that you will absolutely need an upgraded valve train with any of those three.

I saw that and was kind of wondering the same thing. I asked and was told:
"intake- 10.4/264 - exhaust- 10.1/272"

hmmm, so i guess they would not make equal power to say gsc or hks due to the shorter lift....

Thanks for the quick response.I'm aware of having to do the valve springs and retainers with these cams but do you think it is worth the $$$.Do they make that much more power?Would you put them in your car?Do you have any experience with the Pipers?

Thanks

This is one of the few times that I don't have personal experience, and am relying on the testing done by some of the manufacturers I am associated with. I have no wealth of info on the subject to share at this time, or I would.

I was definitely pleased with the performance of my Skunk2 cams in my Honda B-series. Hopefully these will catch on for the Evo VIII and we can get some feedback.
