act clutch install

act clutch install

going to be installing one of these soon. anything else anyone recommends having done while changing clutch?

new flywheel, either OEM or aftermarket. Some people will tell you to resurface the old flywheel, but I wouldn't recommend it.

After seeing the problems Warrtalon had with his ACT I wouldn't recommend that either if you drag race....

Not to say that he's the only one having problems, because quite a few are, it was just that I saw the problems myself and I think I'm going a different route.

Was locking him out of gear over 7000rpm.

i dont do alot of drag racing, rarely do i go up that high a rpm. what about the shifter bushing kits, are they worth the $$$ and what transmission fluid is best?

The stock Flywheel if machined properly with a diamand cutter will do the job.
They are very good quality peices.
We have had great succes with them.
As far as the ACT is concerned I would be carefull with the way you break it in and launch with that disc. For everyday driving you will 100% fine

Something is wrong wit his tranny... Ive had my ACT Clutch on STOCK Flywheel, NO resurface at all and its smooth as a finished piece of glass! i dont drag as often as he does but I have done @ least 20 launches on that clutch and its still strong.

MY SUGGESTION!!! Adjust your clutch because it will drag and eventually destroy your syncros.
