which clutch:read this thread fools!

sorry about the "read this thread fools" thing, i just needed to get your attention!and get some answers.... alright here's the deal, i'm currently running a gt35r setup, with all the fixin's on a stock block. i'm making roughly low to mid 5's at the wheels on race juice at about just under 30psi... my problem is i have a bootsy *** ACT clutch! that will not and i repeat will not let me shift hard over 7500rpm? i'm having my block built this winter with a stroker setup and i'm planning on running methonal injection.. now my question is will a exedy double plate carbon be up to the task? will it handle over 600whp? will it allow me to shift hard at very high rpm? or should i get the triple plate carbon? the cost is a small issue but i just want whats best for my evo! if anyone has any better idea's or possible setup's please feel free to let me know. if anyone at all has an info or valid information from personal experience please respond...i would like to find out someting that a turbo/import tuner magazine wouldn't tell me. thanks

From what I have heard the exedy clutches are very good and can handle a lot of power. You have to keep in mind though that you are going to a stroker motor so you are not going to rev real high with that anyway. The stroker motor gives you more displacement and more trq, but is not made to rev up to 10k like the built motors are. Just my .02 cents

I would contact the big dogs by phone and ask them what they run, you're making big dog horse power and you need a big dog clutch.

I love these threads. Yo, dog what Big ***** clutch should I run? This is no different then the "What turbo is best for 600rwhp?"

Just go with what's proven! You want 600awhp get a 35R. You want more get a one off GT40 or 42. You want a proven clutch get a Exedy double or triple disc for 2K and be done with it. Or like other's have said go see what Buschur, Curt Brown, AMS, TurobTrix are running etc and imitate.
