People who use meth, what kind?
I am having a hard time finding methanol. I found MEK all over the place but only found one place that carries pure methanol. Am I able to use the MEK stuff? Since that has meth in it. I believe the can said Methyl Ethyl Ketone.

But MEK is completely different stuff! It doesn't "have meth in it." MEK is very much like acetone.

try places that sell race gas, places that sell parts for race cars that might retail fuel, try motorcycle performance shops, go cart shops, etc etc. I buy mine from an atv store that stocks it for go carts and dirt track racers.

Go-cart shops, thats a good one. Thanks. I have tried Home Depot, Sherwin Williams (only 2 gallons of pure meth=mine), race shops, bike shops, gas stations. And only the paint store carries it, and won't be getting anymore.
I'm still debating whether to use 100% methanol vs denature alky as well. I hear 100% makes more power and is cheaper. You can find Denature alky at Home depot/ walmart but for 100% methanol not many places carry them and not sure how to find it if you're driving out of town. You can order methanol online in drums but not sure how or if it's safe to be carrying it on the car.

I was debateing the same thing, denatured alky is a little more common so I might just go with that. If I find a place that carries it on a regular basis I will switch over to meth but I think alky is the way to go for now.

stay away from mek, thats the stuff they use to weld pvc piping. look up yellow pages for chemical houses/suppliers in your area....they should sell technical grade MeOH in gallon jugs

Yeah, you should be able to get it from racing kart shops/tracks. Most drag strips have it and they should be the cheapest. My local kart tracks have it for $3.50 - $4 gallon, where the local drag strips have it for $2.80. Any local performace shops that sell race fuel might have it.
Get yourself a good clear/white racing fuel 5 gallon container, it will be able to handle long storage of the meth without breaking down. Should cost less then 30 bucks.

i say ...use 100% meth... racing meth ...it works better and i prefer to the other stuff...denatured alc, rubbing alcohol....it works ...but not as good....i run 100% and pleased with the results...adding water makes the mix less volatile/flammable...also reduces the cooling effects therefore allowing less advancement in timing...

It is methanol based.
