negative factors with short shifter?

is there any bad things about having a short shifter? thanks

no.. installing a short shifter is the same as cutting your stock shifter shorter... now if by some odd chance you installed it incorrectly you might screw up the shifting pattern, if you somehow screw up puting a short shifter in you better let somone else work on the car... cause its pretty hard to mess up the install..

No...unless it alters your ability to shift properly or match revs. However, an improperly adjusted shifter *could* affect fork/drum engagement...improper engagement could affect synchros at some point.
