how did you plug it in and not touch the wires? All the UR test pipes come with wires as you must extend the 02 harness.....

Most ppl dont know about this, but you can extend the 02 sensor wires by taking that black plug out and pulling more of it out, then you can put the plug back in.That way you dont have to splice anything.

^^ You may have pulled the wires a little hard and maybe they got loose or stripped from some place. I would re-check your wires.

Yes i scaned it a few days ago,its the same code everyone gets when theres no cat. i know its the test pipe. I reset it 2 days ago and hasnt come back on yet, im gonna give it a few more days. Back when i had it on my 03. The code came up and i reset it like 5-6 times in one day bc it kept coming up, but after that i came up one more time almost close to a year later. It might do the same in my 05, i guess ill have to wait and see

What direction is the o2 facing, against the exhaust flow or with the flow of the exhaust. I have had one since 100 miles on the odometer, to this day no CEL light.

It is almost impossible to run with a test pipe and w/o an anti-fouler plug. You might get away w/o a plug while running a Higg Flow Cat. I installed my HFC and down pipe on Friday and I installed the anti-fouler plug that came with my LPI test pipe. I decided to install the plug and not have to hassle with a CEL coming on. So far no CEL has come on Just get the 4002 anti-fouler plugs from Pep Boys drill one out and piggy back it on the other. Intall them in the mid-pipe and mount the O2 sensor to them. that should take care of it.

it is your installation...the only CEL that CAN be triggered is cat inefficiency. The circuilt failure means you did not plug something back in - as I said initially, you need to go back over your installation and I bet you'll find a wire not fully making contact. That is why they provide the extra wire to extend the harness - alot safer than pulling extra wire from the plug itself.

nj1266 - actually the design of these test pipes means there is no CEL. Once and a while one occassionally will be set off (cat inefficiency) but a simple ecu reset fixes it and they don't come back. The nature of high flow cats makes a CEL more possible because OBD2 tracks how fast it takes the 02 sensor to reach full temperature

Only way to track this down is via a test light

Actually the same thing happened to me. I have had the UR test pipe on for about 6 months, no problems, then out of the blue the SES light came on. Two seperate O2 sensor codes. I would reset the ECU and they would come right back. Installation is correct. I was thinking I had a bad O2 sensor. I tried the anit-foulers and no problems since. I have heard of others having the same issue with the UR test pipe, works fine for a while, then the built-in fix fails.

there is no way for the built in fix to fail, as there is nothing to fail. There is no electronic circuitry that makes the "fix" (unlike, say, a Perrin test pipe). No resistor, etc. The lack of CEL stems completely from the placement of the 02 sensor. I have not seen a single incident where a CEL would come on, and either stay on, or come back after an ecu reset that was not triggered by one of the following:

1. Wires coming loose (either fraying, etc. post install).
2. 02 sensor failing - this happens with race gas or overly rich mixtures, and typically has little warning.

OK, not sure if someone already mentioned this but....

if you are getting a o2 sensor malfunction code, its not the normal "cat deficiency" code you get for a test pipe.

either A: your o2 sensor isn't plugged in right or if you ever had a sim on it, its not right or some wire has come loose or,

B: your o2 sensor is spaced too far off of the pipe if you are using the mechanical fix and its not getting a reading from it.
