You did know I answered you, because you responded asking what the "snorkel" was.

Now, don't question me! I didn't just make this crap up out of the blue. I'm telling you EXACTLY what the problem is. It takes 5 seconds to fix this. Go to the trunk, get to 2 fasterners out of the lining, put them in your snorkel, then go boost all the way to 7600rpm with no problems.

If you're clips aren't missing, then it's an entirely different issue, but I have a feeling this is it...

Do it right this moment, then report back. I expect a response in no more than 10 minutes.

Without the two clips attached the snorkel will get sucked up to the hood and not allow the air to enter; basically its choking your car.

Well, yeah, kinda, but it has nothing to do with the airbox. It only has to do with the stock snorkel, which sucks up against the hood. If you don't have the stock airbox, then the snorkel would never stay in place without the 2 fasteners anyway, so the stock airbox is really irrelevant.

If you don't have the snorkel, then of course, this problem would never occur. There is a whole thread where this is explained in detail if you're interested further. I went through this ordeal and spent a week trying to diagnose what I thought was a "major boost leak."
