Still can`t catch R1, but the same as R6 (exhaust+power commander)
I think the Tomei cams have a higher lift than the HKS cams. The HKS cams are somewhere in the high 10s for lift, where the Tomeis are 11.5. I've heard the Tomeis will make more HP than HKS, but I can't verify that. Someone with Tomei cams should be able to answer that one.

Higher lift, bud. 11.5 versus 10.2. Ive heard that these cams are sick when used with a nice big turbo, ported head and a beefy valvetrain. One guy I knew used them in a stroker, rev limit at 8300rpm on a 2.3 with a GT35R. He switched from HKS with pretty decent results in power production, but the biggest downfall was the lack of experience that people have gotten with the Tomei's versus the HKS', as they are much more widely used.

No problem , bro. I'll keep digging, and post here. You do the same.
I'd have to say the only person using these cams on huge turbo evos, was George from Boost solutions. That guy was a $ick, didn't know how to tune either.
It just seems obvious that the 11.5 mm lift versus the 10.2 will add power capacity, but I'd plan on the same results and more difficulty tuning, especially the aggressiveness of the idle charachteristics. Im gonna go for them anyways, along with the valvesprings and cam gears, and whatever Dave Buschur uses as far as retainers and valves in my hopefully soon to be built heads. I might just go for the HKS 280's if Dave feels that strongly about the advantages of them. I'll let you know.

i would get the tomei if i had the money over my hks 280's all day. u just cant buy the cams u need the springs as well but the u need the retaniers as well. if you want to get the most power out the car and thouse cams u need a stage 3 or higher head port with the spring and retaniers with this if your car can handel 10 grand rev lim. on it vs the hks which is 9200 rev lim. also u would need a reflash or a new ecu if you call tomei then would send u a new ecu just give them a part break down off your car along with a data log sheet they will set u up nicely but the down fall of all this it cost a few grand to get this done but i must say tomei is one of the best. good luck man.
