All the damn turbos I am sooooo confused.

Hey all

I have been looking through all the turbo options for the Evo and I have to admit I think I lost myself. I was looking for a little help. Oh yeah I will be using methanol as well. Here are my goals.

Close to 500 AWHP.

Streetable lag. I still want to be able to come out of corners hard when need be.

Ability to switch between 2 maps. I am in an area with 93=94 octane pump. My girl lives in an area with only 91.

I really like the RNR kits.

Well that's it really.

how close to 500? is that a dyno-jet number? do you have the Xede? (different maps) check Ludikrauts posts, he has done alot of research. I love my set-up! (see sig) there is a dynoday at Dyno4mance this weekend, watch for their numbers, as they have a variety of turbos being tuned fri/sat.

THe main question is' How much are you willing to spend'

Wish I had won the lottery. Wish I had a money tree ! I don't have neither so I'm stuck with the stock turbo for now.

Well I am really trying to get a determined setup. It basically comes down to whatever I can get done to my car by next may is what I am stuck with. (Read the GF is moving in for good and needs her own car...) I will have at least 4K to 6K to spend on the parts and then more for the tuning. Would the AEM EMS be over kill for my street car or not?

If it was my car, I would do ECU+ and a RnR 50 trim kit.

But thats if it was my car...... Just some parts to look into.

What kind of numbers are people seeing with the GT3037R/GT3076R on 93 octane? And 93octane + methanol?

The stock turbo, meth, and an EMS is very hard to beat as far as streetability.

Thats the setup I would like to have.
