DP leak....

As I suspected I have a minor leak where the BR downpipe meets the 02 housing. I can hear tapping noise during cold start-up and the idle fluctuates during cold start-up and become steady once the car warms up. Is there a gasket that I can put in between to stop the leak? Not sure if I can just tighen up the DP bolts. The leak happen after a clutch install. Not sure what the guy who install my clutch did.

Also anyone know whether that kind of leak will effect my custom tune?

Thanks.

Leaks after the turbo are usually nothing more than an annoyance. Your hi-flo cait is a little more high flow if you will.

You could try some of that gasket maker stuff. It's usually a hit or miss with that though.

I would take the dp off and retighten each bolt with the same pattern. 1 full turn, then tighten the other bolt, i full turn etc..

Hmm I hope you're right. Odd thing is that I think and the car feels like performance was effected. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I have a straight pipe.

Can someone explain why a leak after the turbo will not effect performance?? Doesn't this effect the back pressure? Don't know so just asking.

Thanks.

I don't think it will affect performance, as you said it's after the turbo, so the exhaust gas did it's job and can leave the system. The back pressure - by installing 3" exhaust we're trying to keep it at minimum, so I don't think any additional leakage will be bad.
