AMS makes a really high quality turbo kit, and they back it up with some awesome customer service. Nothing but good things about AMS. Same goes with Buschur as all their parts are backed with some solid numbers. I guess it depends on what your looking for. AMS has a sexy equal length manifold, while BR uses a cast manifold. You won't be disappointed with whatever kit you choose.

Theyre both great kits. The price is the manifold. You want the tubular or not! If not or just dont care, get Buschur. If you do care and you want it, get AMS!

If you ask me, how do you justify paying an extra $1500 for an ams kit, when the same thing can be had from Buschur.
The only difference is they use different manifold.
Even better put together your own kit for a fraction of the cost.

Looks like you havent taken a good look at what is included in AMS kit, Stainless steel down pipe w/ flex section,, water lines, stainless oil return line not a rubber one, Intake pipe with filter, complete lower ic pipe, internally dumped wastegate. Basically AMS kit is truely ready to be bolted on. The only thing that needs modified is cat or test pipe to mate up to flange.

Redundancy.

Who is buying a GT35R turbokit that doesn't already own a intake pipe and 3" downpipe.

BR's kit comes with water lines for the turbo.

BR's kit comes with the lower IC pipe that mates up with his delux fmic.

The AMS kit and the BR kit are both truely ready to be bolted on, there is no AMS advantage there. The BR kit includes what you NEED to install it on a stage 4 car. No fluff and no extra cost.

just another point of view.

IMHO AMS's biggest advantage is the use of a T3 flanged turbine housing. The BR manifold is flanged for a "bolt in DSM" turbine housing. There are more options for T3 turbine housings than DSM turbine housings.

Some input..........

Our newest kit design includes:

Our cast manifold which is ceramic coated standard now.
Any of the GT series turbos, Gt3071, 3076 or GT35R.
Lower i/c pipe
Oil feed and return lines.
02 housing
Tial 44 mm external wastegate
Bolts and such needed to install it.

Our kit uses your factory water lines, anytime we can use an OEM part we do, makes getting a repair done easier.

The turbine housing we are using now, while it is flanged for the DSM style turbos is NOT restrictive like the first turbine housings we used. This new turbine housing has the wastegate port integrated right into it, the installation is extremely clean and all held together with v-bands, just like what comes on the 44mm Tial gate.

This turbo kit at 33 psi of boost has gone 10.3 at 141 mph in our black EVO. This was on a non stock gear ratio that was actually intended to put the car at 200 mph on a top speed run. The car just came back from the chassis shop yesterday where we had a roll cage put in it. If all goes well we will be at the track Friday night with it. We would like to set the record for a GT35R kit, then we will get serious with the car

BTW, our turbo kits are $2995. This is with everything listed above.

Dave:

I have to say, that turbine housing is NICE. The material, casting, and machine work put the precision housing to shame. It is significantly lighter than any PTE or garret turbine housing as well. Can't wait till monday to install it.

I hope it's worth as much power as you say, Id be happy with 130mph on my stock longblock/full weight car.

I will run whatever boost pressure I need to make 550whp or get 10.9 or 130mph. If my modification schedule/testing goes as planned, Id like to be able to make that power at 30psi or less. Will see.

The turbo itself is a Garrett GT35R, we buy the turbo from one shop and the turbine housing we have machined and by somewhere else. I think it makes for the best combination and packaging in an EVO combining the two parts.

We will see soon as the black car is ready to go back out.

DSM,

You guys should see a big improvement, looking forward to hearing the great news.

Dave is the turbo then a DBB 35/40 cartridge with your cast housing? What is the housing size, .63 or .86?
