Is it ok to remove this metal bracket that the yellow plug is running into. I'm asking because I removed it and put the HKS DLI2 in it's place and just zip tied that metal bracket with the yellow plug below the DLI2.

 

Uh, not really a good idea. That is an airbag sensor.
It needs to be solidly mounted to function properly and also not to misfunction.

 

Well thank you for that information . I just couldn't help but to wonder why that piece was there. It's to bad I'll have to move it, it sure looked snug in that area. That's also one of the mounting places they suggest out of the box.
