23psi spike, should I be worried?

So I installed my Hallman ES boost controller today and every gear except for 5th spikes up no higher than 21psi then goes to 20psi. 5th gear spikes to 23psi for a second then drops to 20psi, according to my Defi D boost gauge. Should I be concerned about this or can I let it slide and be okay?

Boost Spike

I have same exact setup on 93 octane and experience same spike you are in 5th.
But I am not worried. Tried a slight adjustment down but then you drop to 19PSI and it still spikes. Could be lack of back pressure from running a 3'' exhaust system.

That's way too high. The thread originator is fine, but you are not...nor is deadbeatrec or whatever. There's no reason to run that much boost on pump gas, for it only causes you to knock heavily.
