Not necessary at this point + flash doesn't compensate for fuel pump so you can put it on any time.

I would always suggest a fuel pump if you plan on going much higher than stock HP. and you need to tune after that so yeah doing it first would be a good idea. And it is only like $100 for the walboro and I believe installation is like 40... At least that’s what my shop charged. Pretty easy though could put it in yourself with basic knowledge... I’m just busy so I had the shop do it. And yes the weather affects these cars. Try resetting you ecu and see if that helps.

yes... without a retune your car runs much richer after a fuel pump upgrade.

Maybe one of ur vacuum lines came loose or ur spark plugs or wires went bad? I had fuel cut with my 03 too...had the nology wires which were crap. switched back to stock wires and plugs. Also had a boost leak. My car is fine now.

ok, how much boost were you running? what boost gauge?

sounds to me like you are hitting fuel cut because your boost went up with the more dense air. it can go up 2-3psi when temps go from 90s to 60s.

Yep, sounds like fuel cut to me as well. Every 11 degrees F decrease gives you a 1 percent increase in air density. The colder air most definitely made a difference, especially without you running a tune.

but i was only hitting 20 psi... maybe 20.5 ... with a VDO guauge ... i really dont think that's what it was..

i think it's just going to be a retune issue... and try that out

i can't imagine your tune going south and making your car backfire at WOT. in fact, its nearly impossible.

backfiring after letting out of the throttle is sort of a 'running rich' issue, but backfiring during wot is not.

well.... i havent tuned yet...

*it did it again this morning
and it's not when i letting off the gas... .. it's jus when i hit WOT .... at about 5k to 6.5k (hitting about 20 PSI again... 20 to 20.5 psi) rpms... my car like POPS ... then i hit fuel cut... .and this morning when i hit it... it tripped an engine code.. which really makes me worry

after class i'm going to take my car to autozone to find out what code i tripped...

none of the mod i did could really make me do this could it??? let me know what you think??

i'm going to turn down my boost

Yeah fuel cut for sure definitley because of the weather .. when its hot I run 19psi to redline ... but when the weather gets colder @ night I CAN get fuel cut in 5th gear and I'd have to turn it down ... it should only happen in 4th and 5th though ..

Turn the boost down -save your gas anyway its not like your racing plus your still not tuned ;D
