Problems with my used Evo

I drove to FT. Worth From San Antonio to trade my RX-8 for a 2003 Evo. ( Good Trade) There are some things that are concerning me with my car. Everytime I shift hard, my car pops. Its like a bang in the rear end. It happen form 1st through 4th gear. I looked under the car and found lots of play in the driveshaft. about a break in the wrist of a turn. Is the car suppose to have that much play? What should I do? How much will it cost? Another thing is that when my car is idling in nuetrul with the clutch let out there is some vibration throughout the car. Not a whole lot, but a noticeable amount. Enough where you can actually here it? What would you think that could be? Now the car has about 30k miles. It was suppose to have a warranty til 35k. When I took it to the dealership they said that the prior owner had did some modification to the vehicle which voided the warranty. Now After driving the Evo, its really hard to go back to an RX-8. I want to keep it. So Im trying to figure out what its going to cost to get this car back to normal.

PS. No Engine LIght has been activated!!!

Mike

mine does it from 1-2-3 but that is only because you are not being smooth with the cluth and gas. If you dump the cluth and slam the gas you get that little bang!

You might want to get yourself an engine reflash so you car is smooth and more importantly is safe throughout the powerband.

The hks intake alters the AF ratio causing the car to run lean in some parts of the powerband, and VTA (vent-to-the-atm.) blow-off valves are usually not evo friendly.
