Way too much. You want to the run the hottest plug your setup will allow.

Hmm.. I am a little confused. I have a set of BP7ES plugs but there are also BPR7ES's, BR7ES's, as well as BPR7EIX's. So, are any and all of these different NGK 7-series plugs ok to run in my basically stock, catless EVO?

You should run the BPR7ES gapped to .026.

Warrtalon,
Would you gap the 8s to .026 also? They come at .032 from NGK I believe.

Yes, I would, but it really depends on your boost level. The larger the gap you can get away with, the better. My 8s are at .021 for 26-28psi, but I don't even think that's necessary. I could probably raise the gap to .024-.026 and be fine, but I haven't bothered yet. I think .032 would be a bit much, but you can always test it to be sure.

Before my last tune I got BR8ES as request by Al. He said they were better than the BPR ones. Anyway, its been 3k since the tune/plugs so I put in an extra set of BPR8ES just to fill the gap but to be honest i did not see any difference.
