muffler

Is there any negative aspects about taking off the muffler of an exhaust? My muffler and tip came so close to the rear bumper that it started melting so i took off just the axle back muffler portion.

are you talking about running a muffler delete pipe or just not having a muffler and the exh gas exiting somewhere under the car?

other than risk of carbon monoxide getting in the cabin, a really loud exhaust note, and possibly melting stuff in the undercarriage. not really. you'd probably be better off triming the bumper imo.
