Evomoto hooked it up!!
Just installed my act hdss and fidanza clutch in my 8 this weekend following evomotos steps. It was the first awd clutch install that we ever did, we always went to someone. It took us about 30hrs wrench time, we took are time and that dam transmission was insanely hard to get back in. I mean the wheight isn't that bad but clearence issues were crazy that took us like 8 hrs i think we would get all heated at eachother and have to take a break and then come back to it. We ended up using an engine hoyst and two other people. Tip all instead of using two jacks to get it back up use a hoyst, one jack at the rear of the transmission and two guys at the bottom guiding and muscling, one on top whatching the input shaft threw a removed plug and another on the bottom turning the crankshaft and holding the transfer case so that it doesnt smash your buddies head (we couldn't get that think to stay put, and we couldn't get it out easy). Overall everything went good, i'am throwing a code right now, service engine soon, but i think it has something to do with my exhaust since i dropped the whole thing to work on the clutch, i'll let you know tonight when we hook it up what it is. If anyone is contemplateing doing it your self feel free to ask about any questions you might have.

Damn, 30 hours and you said it wasnt that bad after all
I hope you did it because you wanted to get experience, not because you were trying to save some bucks

I was glad when the whole thing was done. No missing bolts which is a plus. Next time will be alot easier. Congrats on your first Evo clutch install.

Evil 1, we missed plugging in the mas airflow, we were in a hurry and forgot to plug it in, i was throwing service code, we hooked it up saw what it was and couldn't believe it ran the way it was. It deff felt like it was in limp mode but i didnt get on it since i have to brake in the clutch and fly still. but yeah that was the only dumbass mistake we made

ive been debating doing the install myself also. after reading the evomoto writeup i feel as though i should be able to do it. i just hope it doesnt take 30 hours. sorry but thats a real long time. i made my auto 240sx a standard in less then 6 hours and i thought that was a long time!

More power to you. I know it was a long time. If you converted a 240 to a man, than you should be enclined to do the clutch on the evo, but iam telling you have people around for putting that trans back up.
