Will the Greddy upper IC pipe fit with a HKS RS intake in the way?

I just recently installed a HKS RS intake on my Evo. It was a close fit with the stock upper IC pipe. It is so close that the stock BOV pipe is touching both the stock upper IC pipe and the HKS intake. Now I bought the Tial BOV not knowing that it has to be welded on. Well, I am not going to weld the BOV on the stock upper IC pipe if i want to eventually upgrade it. So I wanted to buy a Greddy upper IC pipe. Will this setup up work? Will I have a hard time intalling it? Does anyone else have the same setup I want? If the Greddy upper IC kit is good to go, where on the pipe should I weld the Tial BOV?

thanks,

Mike

I would suggest selling the Tial and your UICP and putting your money elsewhere.

you really need to be recirculating while on the stock MAF sensor. and if the greddy pipe fits with the stock intake, and the hks intake fits on the stock upper pipe then they should work together.

vishnu doesn't like intakes. some evos have had problems without a tune for the intake, but since you have it already and are getting a tuning unit soon it doesn't matter... depending on what vishnu offers for that. VTA bov's can have problems as well with stalling your car, but i hear that the TiAL is not so bad about that.

as for the greddy fitting w/the hks rs intake, it fits fine. my friend has that setup, but with a tomei DV.... so i don't know how it'll fit with the TiAL in place of the tomei (which is the exact same size as the oem/jdm DV).

the greddy UICP is just the upper portion of the pipe... not really a fan of it. seems like a waste of money to be forced to get that just because you wanted a TiAL bov.

thanks for the info....the reason why i was asking if the if the combo would work because the AMS UICP needed a small battery kit to install it and since there was a tight fit already with the products i have, i wanted to make sure Greddy's setup would work. Thank You all for all the imput.

Please do.
I'm interested to see how this fits as well. Take some pics.
Thanks

and BTW... Keep the stock diverter and recirc into the greddy pipe. The "BOV" sound is plenty loud through the RS anyway. You will need a re-flash as soon as possible to correct the lower maniflod vacum at idle.

Technically, Vishnu guy is correct, the oem air box is good..creates more stable MAF readings for a finer tune and keeps out hot air blah blah...

Most, even Vishnu can easily tune around an intake if you insist. I did, It's cold here as often, or more often than it is hot, it rices up the engine bay and sounds like an f-16. HP gains have been proven, but it's a slippery topic.
