AFC with Mail In Dyno Flash
AFC with Mail In Dyno Flash
If i already have a mail in dyno flash on the stock turbo and bolt ons do i need to flash it back to stock if i am goin to a 20g and AFC setup. Ive read that they dont mix well. I dont have any intentions on doin a race fuel tune right now i just want a everyday tune. Will i be ok to just add the AFC?
Based on my experience, it'll only not mix well when you put in race gas and leaning out the fuel which, indirectly, advance the timing which in combination which the timing setting from the flash maybe too high causing the ECU to pull timing. I got this when try tuning the GT35r with 110 fuel so I have to flash back to stock to solve the problem.

With the base flash+safcII, you can fine tune for daily driving, then also tune for race gas (2 maps).
Well i remembered what you said about using both before but then in my readings sometime today i read two posts where ppl said they had a tough time with mail in flashes. I tried looking for it again to quote it but i cant seem to find it now. Not that i didnt believe you before
I just wanted to make sure it wasnt something with the mail in tunes differing from the custom tunes. I am goin to go with the 20g instead of a bigger kit. I bought 680 injectors, a exhaust manifold, arp head studs, a AFC and AEM wideband today. Once i get all that here and squared away im goin to head to ISP.
