Shepherd Racing Transmission rebuild / Upgrade

i today took my first passes down the track with my new Shep Racing rebuilt transmission.

Its like a swiss watch. it really transforms the driving experience. You feel like your hand is one with the gears. It shifts so well that I can't really put it in words - its just an amazing product and those ith gears starting to be hard to shift should consider this service.

Its on top notch and amazing product

As much as you expect his work to be the very best - when you actually drove on in your car its a very enjoyable experience

It really transforms the evo driving experience to have such a nice shifting transmission

I don't have an Evo, but I do have the shep tranny. I can definately vouch for it.

On a side note, why not get a Dogbox Al? Take advantage of the shorter reving with the longer gears. I am just curious.....

I need a trany rebuild, what additions to the street\strip rebuild would i need to have a "perfected setup" while not just buying crap that will not make a difference in all reality?

Holy hell, way to bring back a thread from the dead. It depends on what you do with the car. If you do a decent amount of racing get the different gears, Evo 9 1st and Evo 8 2nd-3rd I believe. The ISF process isn't really needed per say, but it will help keep things stronger for a longer period of time. I would just get it all and be done with it, thats what I did. It isn't a ton of money more and it is the best transmission upgrade you can ever do. One time and you should never have to mess with the transmission internals again.

You can't go wrong with shep.

I just installed my Shep trans. I recommend the E9 1st and 5th gear set (for 8's which is what I haz), and E8 3rd and 4th gear set fro the 9 guys. As far as the ISF process, he recommended against it, as the gears are already quite strong. Perhaps a dedicated drag car would benefit.

If its a 5 speed, the only difference are 1, 4, 5. If its an Eno 8 trans get the evo 9 1st and 5th gear. If its an Evo 9 trans get the Evo 8 4th gear. 2nd and 3rd are the same.

As for the Dog Box comment. I was very close to ordering one over the winter. With a partioal sponsorship I was still looking $7k+. Thats why. lol
