The car would act like it doesn't have a limited slip/viscous coupling between the front and rear pinion shafts and the car would easily light up the front tires if you mash the gas in 1st from a 3000rpm roll.

To check and see whether or not your front differential is broke where it plugs into the viscous coupling you needs to:

Have transmission in neutral
Have E-brake on
Raise car up on hoist
Now check and see if you can spin both front wheels easily in the same direction. Make sure you have the car in neutral and the E-brake on or this test won't work.

If the end snout is not broken viscous is working you will be able to spin them but it'll take quite a bit of effort.

If the end snout is broken it'll spin with ease.

We haven't seen anyone break them but I'm sure there are some people on here who could break it and rightfully deserve to since they have to...

We offer a 1 year warranty on them and can rebuild the unit for cheap if it ever wears out.

Jon,

You guys offer the OE 05 LSD's now? I'm not a fan of clutch types in a daily driver, and have not looked to see what type the Ralliart is.

How much do you sell the RalliArt diff for outright without install? I would install it myself, thanks

Could this type of failure be induced when launching the car off the apex berms at the track? This would send a shock load down the driveline even though a "drag" launch has not been done. Turn 15's berm at Thunderhill causes my suspension to bottom out if I hit it. It probably sends my front left wheel into the air too.

Nothing wrong durability-wise with a VCU. The VCU is part of the center diff and has nothing to do with the TC problems of the 03's and 04's, which are related to the FRONT diff. The Evos I-VI have gone strong with their VCU units, I highly doubt it's any less durable than the ACD. Porsche and Mercedes have both replacied their complex electronic diffs with VCU's because they're light and durable.
