JIC Exhaust Install - 13 Horsepower Gain

We just finished dynoing our EVO8 with the new JIC Titanium Exhaust. Weighing only 12lbs or so, the JDM style of JIC angled catback system is a full 3" piping. Mounts very easily in replace of the other system including all hangers. The exhaust comes with a silencer to make it DEAD silent but if you take the silencer out you free up some good power and get a nice race rumble. The only issue is the exhaust does not have a 02 bung on it. So you can either have one welded, must be able to weld TITANIUM, or use a CEL fix like we have.

We went from 232 stock horsepower on our dyno to 245 with the exhaust. Not bad! Any questions let us know. We do have these available in stainless steel as well!

Thanks

BTW the tip on that exhaust doesn't seem to extend far enough out.. That car is gonna have a black bumper i would think..

Maybe not so bad, since it still has a cat.

Actually the tip is not to short. This is the exact angle, and size of all JDM exhausts for the EVO7 and 8. We will be uploading pictures here shortly of others make and models so you can see.

Hope the pics help in your further information and installing of your Vivid Racing purchased products!

Just because it was designed for the JDM EVO7 doesn't mean it is not too short for a USDM evo8..

The tip of a muffler should extend past the rear bumper..

I agree, I had a friend with a JUN bumper on his ITR that looked like that, melted the cover. I would think a turbo car would generate alot heat than a N/A car.

looks sweet and alot free flowing than the factory unit, similiar muffler design to the Celica GT S.

So that would leave a black mark on the bumper if you use it without the cat? I like that exhaust but I'm getting a white EVO. Maybe somebody could make one of those chrome plates to cover the bumper above the tip. Also, is it hard to find somebody that can weld titanium?

We are manufacturing some aluminum or carbon fiber exhaust plates for the bumper.
