Question about BOV
Now before you start flaming, I don't feel like searching through 87098213640219376401923746 threads and posts to find the answer to this question. And yes, I KNOW I KNOW, oh lord another BOV thread.....
But anywayz a couple of Evo guys out here in VA suggested removing the recirc hose
and plugging up the intake because it feels better and gives off a good sound.
WELL it gave a GREAT sound but it made my car slow as hell. I lost to a damn ralliart lancer from a roll with the recirc off. WTF? why does it make such a difference. I thought the only time you'd really notice a difference is in between shifts because you don't have that extra air pushing through the intake. Not only did I lose to the ralliart, but I hit fuel cut. That's not good!! But once I put the hose back on, I beat him by like 7 car lengths. Why does it make such a difference?

I lost to a ralliart WITHOUT the recirc hose. Ahhh you know what I'm not even gonna waste my time.
And I'm an Evo owner and I'm happy to answer any question to someone that just got their car. I don't care how many times it's asked. Because everyone was new to the Evo at one point. So go to hell internet tough guy.

Oh look a NORMAL reply. So I see you must be in the to %10 of the EvoM population.
Well I knew it makes the car rich, but doesn't fuel have to do with running too lean?

So that means you care then???? Awww how sweet. Since you COULD care less.
But yes, exactly, I COULDN'T care less what you think. I like speed and sound. Noticing that the removing recirc valve made my car slower, I put it back. Because I like the drive and feel of the car more than sound. Plus hitting fuel cut isn't a smart thing to do. I love the sound of spooling turbo and blowoff just as much as I love beatin the crap out of a Mustang GT who thinks he's fast.
