Just got my Buschur intake and realized it doesnt have a nipple for the crank case hose. What does everyone do with theres? I know some people will put a breather filter on the crank case but i dont want oil getting all over the engine. I suppose using a catch can and then putting a breather filter on the otherside would work. Also does your filter rub against the hood barely?

Put a breather on it.

No it didn't rub against the hood.

Wouldnt a breather filter allow oil to drip out all over the engine?

Sure, if the filter is completely saturated it will drip on the engine. If that worries you, just do a catch can with a breather filter on one end like I've got.

With the K & N breather filter there is nominal slight mist of oil that may seep out from time to time, mostly its the k & N filter lube - its really nothing

Unless you have a built motor with huge tolerances a catch can is not needed

On my own car I just run a hose down and out

If you look through the how to section Malabu Jack did a write up. With 7 in. rubber
hose going into clear glass fuel filter with the breather at the end. Oil will not reach
the breather but will stay in filter holder. Hole set up cost about 12. dollars at pep
boys.

I currently have a breather on there. If you can I would use a CC and route it back to to the MAS. When I did a boost leak test air was coming out of there.

Just hang the hose on top of the tranny and clean it every once and a while Looks fine unless you drive 10k miles without cleaning it up like I did. Then it gets nasty but you never have to worry about clogging the vent. It is very very bad if for some reason the hose gets blocked. Thats why I wouldnt recommend putting just a filter on it, when the filter saturates it becomes very hard for the motor to blow the blow-by out building alot of pressure in the case.

If you vent that hose you are screwing up the tune of your motor. Your LTFT will be off and so will your vacuum (hg). The best thing to do is have a nipple welded on to the new pipe and provide vacuum to it.

That will get you booted out of many NHRA tracks. Many tech inspeactions will never notice but my particular local track would. It also isn't cool to be dumping oil blow by on the track to the people that are trying to run down the same track as you

How would it be screwing up the tune? ITs not like the bov where its looking for a certain amount of air to come back into the intake and it wouldnt even be a consistant amount of air/ oil. Someone correct me if im wrong
