Extreme Duty Oil Pump
I used to run the accusump on my SCCA car... it doesn't actually pump any oil unless you loose oil pressure. I loved the accusump on my car because before you shut off the car you could close the valve leaving the oil inside the sump under pressure. So the next time you goto start the car you open the valve pre lubing the engin with a few quarts before the car starts. Secondly if you ever have an oil pump fail at high rpms or if the car is in a high G turn and you loose oil pressure you will have the added saftey with this accusump.

However, it sounds like you have to turn something on or off everytime you start up or shut down, I'm getting that right? I'm assuming you put some extra oil in the sump. correct?
no you don't have to turn anything off.. but there is a valve you can close before you turn the motor off... that will keep the oil inside the accusump under pressure.. so next time before you start your car you can open the valve releasing the oil inside of it, prelubing the motor before it starts.

Thanks for clearing it up
