Car broke at the track - Need Advice!

Hey all,

I decided to wake up mad early and hit up test n tune at MIR today. Very first run, was revving around 5-6k to launch. I didn't drop the clutch, I kind of did a combination of drop and feather. Once I let go the clutch, it grabbed around 5k and then I floored it. When I floored it the revs just shot up to 7.5k and the car barely moved and I had to shift to 2nd to get the car moving. I immediately left the track and went to a parking lot.

Now when I turn the wheel all the way in either direction, or am going in reverse, the car makes a pretty loud snapping noise. Sometimes it comes from the front, and sometimes it comes from the back. I thought maybe it was my suspension but it happens when I go straight in reverse.

DO you guys think it is my differentials? I was thinking maybe something with my drive shaft. I don't think it is the tranny because I can still shift fine. I will probably take it to a shop sometime this week to find out what's up.

I have a video of the launch and also made a quick video of the car making that snapping sound. Will post up as soon as I can.

Thanks.

Viet

Shepherd or TRE, both do great work, its gonna cost though...also sounds like you may need a new clutch as well from your description.

its the front diff inside your Tcase... you wasted the gears inside it ...you just got unlucky. I had my stock setup in my car i whooped on a long time (20k miles) and it went bad... i have a 4500 mile old one if you want it $400 shipped...can easily be installed by any decently compitent mechanic ...

hey evodave, I'm mighty interested in the diff you are selling. I'm going to get my car checked out at a shop first this week to make sure it's the diff inside the t-case. If its that than I'll PM you. Also would I hear a snapping sound from the rear of my car also if its the diff in the t-case?

thats what it is man....i know it. Let me know. BTW the reason it geeks the rear out is cause it messes around with the power output since it can't put it properly to the fronts so it will shuffle it to the rear.
