Tell me the reasons about my high RPMs???
It holds 7000rpm at idle and i can`t do anything
Intake manifold is ok
Throttle body too(closed)
What can it be?
May be TPS?

That is mechanically imposible to hold 7000rpm at iddle with your throtle body close.Originally Posted by Yaroslav

The other posibility is that you might have a hole in your intake manifold at least 1" in diameter or bigger acting as a throtle body other wise 7000rpm is not posible.
Check your intake manifold, you might have a hole on it or a plug that fell off or something. That is the only logibal explanation that I have..

idle air control valve has to be stuck wide (wide, wide) open if the throttle body is truly closed. You woudln't be able to get enough air/fuel in the engine otherwise.
Today started engine, RPM as always jumped to 7000, then i turned off the key but the engine was still working!!!!
Can`t understand anything!!!!!!
May be it`s ECU problem?

Check throttle cable, then check where the cable casing mounts to the IM, then check... man I don't know what to tell you.Originally Posted by zze86
take off the intake pipe and see if your throttle plate is stuck open
What have you check so far thats good?
Do you live where it's cold? Something frozen

3200-3500 rpm is what an engine will hold with iac motor open all the way (100%open)is it on stand alone or stock ecu
