6000 miles service

ok i got a email stating that my car is due for a 6000miles service. it includes checking of tubes, lubricant, oil change, tire rotation, etc. anyway its gona cost me $140! PLUS i asked them (who works in bell mitsu in NJ) if i dont get the service done they can void my warrenty...
true or false?
btw i have my own oil n they offered to reduce the $140 to $93. worth it?
i bought royal purple. should i turst them with it(rp) n not screw me over?

There is no 6k service anyway. They just send you those things so that they can make money off of you. Don't waste your time or money; no, it can't void your warranty. You do, however, need to perform regular maintenance with regular oil changes at least every 5k miles.

I had an IS 300 from Lexus before my Evo. I used to make my own oil change at a Quick Lube Center. Before the car had 10,000 miles, all the 4 tires got worn out from the inside. They refuse to cover it because the car was never took to the service at Lexus. So ask first to a Mitsubishi dealer, before you have an issue.

YES, you do have to have proof, in the form of store reciepts showing u pruchased mobil1 synth and a filter, else they CAN void ur warranty for not proving proper documentation of REQUIRED OIL CHANGE SERVICE, if you take it to mitsu, they have those records on database and if u go to oil chage places they should give you a recipt stating the type of oil used, the filter and the mileage and date it was serviced
