does anyone know if AEM(or any company) will build an automated standalone unit in the near future, capable of self-tuning via the internet or some other form of program?

 

i don't think so, there is no "self tuning" unit on the market as it is, you can't count smart or other programs that have AFR tracking because you still have to have a base tune. the only thing that is close is something like a MoTec system, but even that has to have a base tune,

really, and do you run one? have you seen one? last i remmeber forcedfed performance was using that EMS in thier MR and were having "tuning issues". if it tuned itself i think it wouldn't have this problem and a LOT more people would be using this unit. with the cost of that unit as compred to the AEM tuned it would be around the same...so why don't more people run it? tell me please so i can sell my utec and buy one

 

ok, just was reading some of the post....its just another AFR tracking unit....so how does it tune timing?? magic? im sorry but i don't consider those units "Auto tuning"

 

look in the autronic forum on this site.. there are people that have it, i had one in my 03, and yes, its easy to tune with the autotune feature... call ben at efi101, hell tell you the same.. again look in the autronic furum here... here ill do the work for ya..

hmmm, looks like a nice unit, but there is still tuning time for a little variable called timing, which is where i see a lot of my power, im not trying to start a fight or anything, but the question was if there is an EMS that will tune itself, not just fuel mixtures

yes, a 'true' automated stand-alone is what i was inquiring about. for example, the unit would have many maps, and you choose a map and the unit would tune the car as close to the map as your car will allow, via laptop or via internet or tuner shop.

also, i noticed that these forums can get a little heated. passion seems to run strong in evoland.
