I'm getting an ACT HDSS put in right now. Can't wait to get my car back. I know a lot of people are using this clutch with good results.

If it's slipping due to the cold then it won't slip once it heats up again.

I just ordered an ACT kit with a fidanza lightened flywheel.

I'll be doing the install myself though.

1080 shipped for a Exedy with the flywheel, IMO that's awsome.

Do you have the luck of having a lift and engine supports? My mechanic had to drop the whole crossmember section to get the tranny out. He said he worked on a 3000 awd before and the tranny came out without dropping the section. This is his first evo he's worked on, though.

I thought about doing it myself, but i think it would have taken me about 2 weeks to do it with having to work and all. I called mitsu to see how long they say it takes to change it out and they said 10 hrs worth of labor, so did a few other local mechanics.

Good luck to you though if you take it on.

I think he's talking about the cooler weather making more torque and hp, not so much that the clutch is cooler. Or at least that's the way I'm reading it.

I'll be using the hobby shop here. They have everything I'll need. I'm workin with 2 friends, one whom has done his GSX more than once, and one whom has done his Evo. So they're confident we can get it done in roughly 8 hrs or so. But I'm not limiting myself to a time constraint.
