how much was the whole kit??

Evo23IG: Actually, that picture doesn't show everything in the kit. The pictures that I posted in the beginning of this thread show all the pieces included.
RNR: No need to downplay a competitor's kit in this thread. Coming from a vendor, a comment like yours will be read with skepticism. Everyone who reads anything in this forum knows you guys have your own issues with your manifolds. Simple logic should allow anyone to realize that a welded tubular manifold will crack (generally) long before a cast manifold; hence the use of cast manifolds by OEM for ages.
Update: Dyno figures will be posted in this thread on Saturday. I'm going to see Nick at Precision.
Great write up! I have often wondered about this kit. I look forward to seeing how this works out for you.
It looks a lot like the Owen racing turbo from the FQ also rated at 450hp. Check out this link and see if any of the details look similar. How cool would that be if they are same/similar at that price. The Owen below is crazy$$.

Link sucks... try this, go to evo turbo... http://www.owendevelopments.co.uk
I am just stating what happened to our customer. I like the look of the kit and I wasn't bashing anyone's product. For the record we have only had one defective manifold out of 200 built to this date.

Another similar kit to keep in mind is the one from APS. Good luck finding it, though...as they are no longer in production (for now, at least). Pics are on the APS website. As both APS and AVO are in Australia, I would think they're utilizing some of the same raw materials.

Keyless entry works fine even with the ECU unplugged from the car. I'm using the stock Evo MAF. The ONLY issue, and this is minor, I have is that my primary fan runs all the time instead of cycling. Other than that, the differences are that the fuel pump runs at max instead of switching from low to high, the smart-key encryption is removed (stored in the Evo ECU), and the Auto IC sprayer doesn't work (Manual does). Everything else is fully functional. I won't tell you that the car always runs as perfectly as the stock ECU, but if a stranger were to drive it, he/she wouldn't know the difference. AEM is also a great choice, and I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
