GT35R to good to be true?
I was searching around and came accross turbochargers.com. On their website they have a GT35R for $1,413 and it says it bolts to stock Evo manifold. Is there something I'm missing, because I thought you had to buy a $4,000 kit to have a GT35R? Do they really bolt to a stock manifold and O2 housing? The link for the page is http://turbochargers.com/Turbos/Turb...ll-bearing.htm

I have a buddy that is designated tuner for turbochargers..(He has his own shop which is in my sig, but when turbochargers needs someone to tune a customers car they call him).. which is in Houston, TX.. Anyways I will find out if they have one available for evo 8...As a matter of fact I will have him find out today..
when they make the gt35r fit other manifolds it becomes a hybrid because they need another exhaust housing to make it bolt up so they have to start mix matching parts to fit. so now you have a garrett/mitsu gt35r (if they made one)? usually takes alot of time to make something like that work and so far no one wants to do that besides atp

I am sorry, I was thinking that was under Evo turbos on the website, but it was under mitsubishi turbos. I am not interrested in running a GT35R, I was just curious because I see so many threads about this turbo. There must be drawbacks to running one with an adapter plate because otherwise everyone would do that.

Uhhh... that's wrong. The ATP GT35R kit bolts on the the stock manifold.
