Boost controller settings?(Blitz SBi-D) Need 27psi!!!

I just got re-flashed by Mark at Turbo Trix for a Methanol Injection kit @ 27psi of boost. I played with my Blitz SBi-d EBC and wasn't able to get it dialed in to that boost. Does anyone have the same controller and some advice on how to get it to that boost?

I also would like to know what gap you set your plugs to with Injection kits. Mine is currently set to .022 which is working. When it was at .028 it would flutter in the upper RPMs. I am trying to get it tuned in right for a dyno. I am hoping for good numbers.

How is the controller setup now??

I have mine at

Manual
~79 power/something out of a 100
~30 gain

This gets me right around 25-26psi - Al said this was about 1psi lower than what his read.

Don't use the automatic and set it at 27psi. For whatever reason it doesn't work nearly as well.

If you have played with it hopefully you understand my garbage writing

Good luck and let me know how it works out.

Edit: - Denso W24ESPR-U or some code like that at .022mm~.023mm

I have it set now at 68 out of 100 and 43 gain and it is at about 21.9 psi.

My recommendation would to be crank it up to about 80 and drop the gain down to about 30-35. I have yet to feel on my butt dyno the difference in the gain. My guess is it just over works the solenoids.

Gradually crank it up (percentage number) as you want to make sure your meth is injecting correctly.

68 out of 100 sounds about right for 22 psi when comparing to everyone else.

OK, I went out and tried to get my EBC set in at 26.6 psi and I can get it but only in 4th gear.

For some reason in 1st gear 22.x psi/ 2nd 23.x psi/ 3rd 24.5psi/ 4th hits 26.6 psi. I have set boost at 83 and gain 33.

Why am I hitting a lower boost in the lower gears?

Mine does the same thing. I turned mine down 3 points because it was below freezing last night on my way up to Chicago. In 5th gear I went to pass someone and my boost still spiked to 27.x!! It was crazy.

Since I do most of my fun driving in 3rd gear I set one (the one most used) channels to be dialed in for a 3rd gear pull. Then as the weather is changing and the long trip I just turned it down a little.

Your settings sound good to me. I don't know if I would change them much. I would have it dialed in on the safeside for around town driving. You may be able to boost it up a bit when you go to the track.

How does it feel?? I know lastnight with the cold weather the car was feeling good . . . . . even though I think I may have gapped my plugs too close. Oh well. I will regap them.

Plus, I know with my setup . . . . 1st and 2nd gear pull both last less than 2 seconds each to go through. Once you start getting into your longer gears the turbo has the ability to build more boost. I wouldn't be too worried.

I have an SBC id3 and a Power Meter. It's normal to have less boost in lower gears for any boost controller. There is less load. Fortunately, with the Blitz combo you can do speed based boost maps and adjust the setting by MPH. That way when you are at lower speeds the duty cycle can be set higher. That's what I did last time I was at the drag strip. I adjusted the boost so that the duty cycle dropped a bit starting at about 84 mph so that in 4th gear I wouldn't get too much boost for the pump gas that I was running that day.

EVOLTW8 - do you think the power meter is worth it? I have debated that purchase a many a times.

I use mine a lot for tuning so that I can see if the car is actually picking up power. For me, it's worth it.

The Power Meter is something that I have seriously thought about getting.
