Scan tools... which one?

I treid to do a GB on the digimoto one and a few people said that it wasn't good. So I am asking which one is a good choice? I really need to see fuel trims, timing and all of the other good stuff.

The latest Digimoto is supposed to be much improved. I will let you know when I get a chance to look at it.

Autoenginuity I am hearing really good things about. I will get to play with it by then end of the week.

I am still trying to contact digimoto, they are local to me but I can't even leave a message there. I have seen the autoenginuity one, looks nice.

I also found turbolink but not sure if it will accept the ISO interface.

Anyone know if the DSMLoggers.com 2g kit will work. A groupbuy to bring it to like 125 or so would be great, and includes a PDA.

What about the 2g DSM loggers scan tool. Seems like good scantool software, includes a pda. And once you have the interface you can download digimoto software, scantool.net software and a bunch of other stuff....

I recently got a autoenginuity one - not very impressed with it. It has both CAN and bluetooth options. The bluetooth cuts out frequently and I have to "re-pair" the devices. Functionality wise it doesn't show nearly as much info as I would have hoped. Maybe I'm too stupid to use it, but so far it seems to show only generic stuff, not mitsu specific codes. It comes with a "road dyno" tool which is cool, but I have not been able to read fuel map or ignition map info so far. Dissappointing so far, maybe need to spend more time with it though...

Alright guys, I just got off the phone with Greg from DSMLoggers.com. The 2g kit will work partially. A lot of the parameters don't work though but he is in the process of making an Evo kit at about the same price, including the PDA, and with a group buy we should be able to get it down a little more.

A ton of DSMers use this scantool/datalogger now, and it is winter time at least for the folks in the Northeast so my car is basically away for the winter, and track/logging is off till about april. Greg said he would be probably able to put together a kit in about 2 months. He has my number and will call me when he has something going.

If people are interested I will discuss a group buy with him and see whats up.

Tim
