Revolver Cam Test! HKS who?
JUN 272 vs Revolver!!! =D
AMS pushes for JUN's
Buschur Racing pushes for Revolvers
(not comparing company's in ANY way ... just saying that they are two of the more respected and renown names on this forum)
oOoOr JUN 264s on relatively stock car =D
since the Revolver should really be more of a race car cam.. maybe the JUN264's are what we should be looking into next =P
p.s.
thanks for all the intense posting from everyone... i've learned a lot

What I would really want to find out is if the Jun 264's will net more gains than my HKS 272's. I know that with the Revolvers I will get more torque and better spoolup, now what will the Jun 264's can do for my car.
and the world may never know cuz no one has the juns or no one has intalled them and lived to tell the tale on the internet. maybe after you buy them and install them you become too cool for the internet.
yeah i know i am told comp cams are awesome then some say they are the worst same with hks as well and jun and tomei now i am done with opinions i want facts.
so people who have gotten comp jun hks revolver and so on post up your after dynos if you have them and let us see.

Im really inclined for the Revolvers, just for the added torque and the spoolup characteristics, that could make my 50trim spool up almost like stock
Now for the Jun's 264's (272's are way too agressive for my taste, my car is a daily driver) I received an email saying that they are comparable with the HKS 280's but will get better spoolup and net more power.

i think it should be a test with hks 280, jun 272, revolver. seem to be the most talked about cams on this hole thread
The HKS cams are at a disadvantage because their ramp profiles are milder than the JUNs, Revolvers, etc. This is why one can use the stock springs with the HKS cams and not with JUNs, etc. More aggressive ramp profiles can benefit power and spool characteristics, but they put too much stress on the factory valvesprings.
I know a car here in PR with JUN 272's and the idle on that car is simply jaw dropping, but thats a race only car, Road Racing, but for me as a daily driver and the problem that I have is I have only reflash, so we'll see, Im sure with proper degree both can idle quite good.
