Question on the transfer case?

I was just wondering if anyone on the forum had a transfercase go out on them with some mods, and mitsu covered it under warranty. I'm asking this because this is the situation that i'm in. Also is the front dif located in the transfer case, I was told that the most common thing failing on the t-case was of course the front dif. Is this true. Feed back please!!!!!!!!

03s have a open differential which is located in the transfer case so to answer your question..yes it is. You can simply look inside and see the gears and that it is open on both ends. The only probs i had with my 2 TC's on my 03 are the bearings.

he must've thought the question was referring to a limited slip on the 03 TC. I wish it had one. Would've been a lot more fun.
