well, if you are the driver you don't feel pull as much as sitting and someone else drive it.

313 whp.. on a dynoje- dude lookin at ur mods.. u should put down much more on a dynojet. Im thinkin u need some custom tuning. Cause the IX puts down 230 whp on a dynojet, with a simple flash and mbc - it gonna yield close to 300 whp

I think 313..is about right for my mods...the highest is have seen is 350...but that is a 05 MR which has a 10.5 hotside and very very fine tune.(On PUMP GAS)

SAFC is not adequate to tune an Evo.

The point is...I have horse power...but the car is just not pulling!!!

I am not saying that I have made very huge horse power, but compare to a car have at least 40 less horses then my car, my car still feel slower.

HP doesn't make you feel the pull. TQ does. And tunning with AFC leaves a lot of the TQ off.

You had high hp and torque on a single day, on a single dyno pull.

Listen to what everyone is saying, the SAFC is not the answer for a Walbro and oversize injectors. The stock ECU is very smart thing! It will "unlearn" a lot of the changes you are making with the SAFC, so that 30 minutes after you had it tuned, the ECU has retuned itself so to speak. This has been documented here and in Turbo and other magazines. The SAFC is good for minor changes, not wholesale changes like you'd be making to get the Walbro and injectors to work right.

You need a flash, or your car will continue to be inconsistant.

Even though what you are saying about the SAFC is true...I remember that by the time I finished the tune with SAFC..the tunner bought me out for a spin...the feeling I got is the same as right now. It seems like the SAFC have never learned instead forgot if what you are saying is ture.

Also..SAFC is a devices that modify the signal to the ECU...that means we have never change the ECU setting...so no matter how smart the ECU is and how easy it would unlearn, it makes no difference..right?

Correct me if I am wrong!

Take this advice. Forget the horsepower numbers made on the dyno. They are pretty much worthless at this point. Take you car to Scott Gray to road tune. He will tune your care properly so it will pull. That is the whole beauty or road tuning, you will know right away if the SAFC tune is right or not. Dyno won't tell you that.

Also, don't let anyone tell you that you need a flash and that the SAFC is not adequate to tune the Evo. Such comments are PURE INGORANCE! The SAFC does have its limitations, but it is a great tuning tool. There are plenty of Evos here in SoCal that are properly tuned with the SAFC and make great numbers, both on the dyno and on the track.

Please show me proof that the SAFC on a unflashed ECU making good amount of TQ. I will be happy to retract my comment.
Thanks.

MIVEC is incredible. It gives you soo much low end power around 3k RPM. and up top the torque doesn't die off as much.

Peak whp/wtq #'s is not an effected way of estimating how fast a car is. Its the amt of area the whp covers and where it is. The MIVEC gives it more lasting whp everywhere, not to mention the turbo is better too. It will take a lot of mods to catch up with the 06, esp with the 03/04, and once one has, it's not as efficient.
