Would the 20g-9 work with a stroker kit, or is that just to much for it up top?

not neccissarily. If the stock turbo car stays in 3rd gear the whole time, and the gt35r car has to start in 2nd, run through 2nd, and make a shift to 3rd, It will still lose Id say if running to the top of 3rd. I make WOT powershifts at the dragstrip, they take on average .35 to .4 seconds from clutch switch up to up again it feels instantanious. An average street shift is in the time frame of .6 to .7 seconds

The 35R car will have .4 seconds of "zero power" time, as well as double the spoolup time since it has to spool up the first time in 2nd gear, then recover from the gear shift in 3rd.

I think the 35R car would be faster just staying in 3rd gear than being forced to make a shift in this short of a race.

It doesnt matter w/the GT42R. Once it reaches full boost, you WILL catch up to pretty much anything.

Can we have the 6000 to 8000 RPM data from each car in the test? That is where I run my car when out for blood

Keith <----- has a 365 HP dyno sheet on his desk on his GT35R car.... Hmmmmm

Fourdoor,

is David using your car in this example? how much boost are you running? whats spool up like?

SMrider102,

have you ever raced your friend from a standstill? when you raced from a roll, what was your rpm at and what gear?

Turbo13,

wish i still lived in denver. i would love to see how your car feels on the street. im trying to decide between the evo9-20g (1st choice so far) and 3076r(if it fits my needs more), possibly 35r(if it fits my needs) too. im not expecting stock spool since i dont drive my car too often, but i am looking for usable power when racing from a roll and standstill. i guess slower spool would be good for gas milege. cant wait to see your results after the alky kit!

Thanks Mr. B, good info to know.

I'm curious to see how the 20G-9 will perform with the manifold I am mating to it. Should be interesting!!!

You have to know where your power range are.
I have the AMS 3076 w/ HKS 272/272 when I want to play I have to drop down a couple of gear keeping the RPM at >4500

That GT35r number 365 whp is kinda low w/ alky and all, shouldn't that be 465whp ?
