Price doesn't matter to me I just want an exhaust with the least amount of bends in it and has a "low/deep" tone. Whichever exhaust can provide that for me I will go out and buy, regaurdless of cost.

With that being said will the Helix or Invidia TBE's provide me what I'm looking for in a exhaust? I was also thinking about a Invidia downpipe mated up to a helix catback, any thoughts on this?

I personally have heard an EVO on the dyno at AMS's dyno day that had the HKS HiPower with a down pipe and a test pipe standing straight in line with the muffler. This thing sounds ultra "thrusty" like a jet engine and I asked the guy how it was on the highway and he said it doesnt drone like your head is in a 55 gallon drum. We all know how that is right? Asking for a headache in no time.

The Logic exhaust is very straight with minimal bends. Check out the pics on their exhaust on that EVO.

since were throwing out other exhausts systems here............i recommend the APEXi GT SPEC exhaust. starts w/ 3" at the cat. then after the resonator becomes 3.25" and about a foot before the muffler becomes 3.5". even w/ a resonator and stock cat, its really deep and only loud when you get on it. of course it will get louder once you go test pipe and down pipe.

back to your 2 choices...... get the HELIX.

For the best sound, if loudness is not an issue with you. There is only one clear winner.

Greddy Titanium

- 80 mm piping (3.15")
- Lightest of all catbacks
- Full Titanium
- Affordable for full titanium
- Greddy quality
- Smooth deep sound (albeit slightly loud with a testpipe and DP)

Not on your list. But it should be, if price and loudness are not a concern to you. You should be able to pick one up for about $875 shipped, if you contact the right people.

Of the other lesser quality exhausts on your list. The Helix is not bad. I think you would like the sound, but they all are much heavier. EVEN THE BUSCHUR. I have never heard the Invidia Catback.

My $.02

i say you go with the megan racing full tbe from zeus for $545 i think it is, sounds good, good quality, and best price you'll find. You can get it with either hf cat or test pipe.

I have the GReddy Titanium also and dig the sound, but it doesn't clear the usdm bumper. You'll need some sort of exhaust heat shield. Just throwing another option out there!

Loud is no problem for me, my sti was loud as hell but it had such a nice "deep yet low" tone to it but make no mistake it was LOUD. I'm looking for the same thing for my EVO IX. Now you guys are mentioning some other exhausts so naturally I'm more confused now than before on which one I want to get. I'm seriously considering a helix downpipe mated with a invidia catback, any thoughts on this? will that get me a deep/low tone?
Thanks again for everyones input!
