Honestly, I've found the 280s to idle just as good as 264/272 combos. Maybe even a bit better in some respects.

actually 280's are almost quiet using MoTec. alot of tuners don't tune out the lope cuz "people think it's cool". some lope is ok but too much means a bad install/tune...

Whats the dyno graph for? I would love to see a back to back on 272 vs 280's on a stock turbo.

Dyno is for 280's on 93oct + meth.
Best on the same dyno with an Evo with meth + 280's was 382whp.

Do you have any graphs from a car with 272's with the same mods or atleast close to them? I want to see the trade off in power if their is any. Also does that car in the graph have came gears?

I want to jump on the dyno again to see how much I have gained from the last few mods I have done. We have also worked out quite a bit of the bugs in the MAFTpro since then.

I could just swap my 272's for 280's now before its too late. Im wondering if I will still see gains over 272's with out the cam gears on the 280's. Seems like I always have these darn decisions.

Oh really! ...and I take it you speak from experience? I have HKS 280's and AEM and you can't even tell I have cams. No lumpy idle at all. Sounds stock! Don't give information unless you know what you are talking about.

i am contemplating on swapping out my 264's for 280's. for those of you with 280's, did you guys upgrade your valve springs/ retainers? i could shoot myself right about now cuz i sold my springs/retainers after i heard i didn't need them for the 264's. plus i sold my cam gears as well. now i'd hate to face the fact that i gotta buy new cams and gears + retainers that i already had.
