safely as a daily driver, about 315 whp 300 tq but maxed out with alky probly like 340 whp??? i dunno really, but to make it over the 315 hump or around there, its logical to do cams, it reeally makes your powerband come alive

not much on 91 =)... cuz turning up the boost on 91 will over heat ur motor... unless ur running alky.

It's unusual NOT to install cams while still on the stock turbo. Or, in other words, it's unusual to upgrade the turbo on the Evo BEFORE upgrading the cams.

Btw, to answer your question from personal experience:

- With basic bolt-ons, I drive around daily with ~300whp/wtq on 93oct, which was good enough for me to hit 12.26@110.
- With the same mods and the boost cranked to 24-25psi while tuned on race gas, I ran 12.000@113.7, which indicates 330-340whp, but I haven't dyno'd in race mode to verify.

One could surmise that with a ported exhaust mani, ported o2 housing, and LICP, I could make another 10-20whp, so I'd say 350-360 is about as good as it gets for the stock turbo on race gas (or alky) without cams.
