Manual Boost Controller Hose Length
Manual Boost Controller Hose Length
I recently purchased a Forge UNOS MBC. Ideally, I'd like to put the controller in the car, not under the hood, for adjustability purposes. I haven't found a thread that said it couldn't be done that way by running the hoses through the firewall.
My main concern is whether or not the MBC with long hoses will cause a slow wastegate response causing spikes and such. I imagine the shorter the hoses, the better.
Can anyone chime in? And, I've seen a few posts on what hose size to buy, but I'd just like a fresh opinion on that too.

I just reused the same hosing that was fitted on the factory tee fitting/solinoid/wastegate act/intake contraption - there was more than enough.
Dont forget to keep the solinoid connected to the harness - you can cap the solinoid's nipples or take a 2" section of hose and plug ea end to it.
My MBC is mounted so there's no more than 8" of hose to both the WG act and housing. I encounter no spiking.
It's a little tricky to adjust but I made a tool with a gripping end and it's easy.
