I am looking at getting a mini battery kit to free up some room in the engine bay. Which kits would you recommend? Share your experiences.

It depends on your goals. If your ONLY priority is to lighten your car, then you don't need a "kit". Just get the little battery and use a couple of washers and put it in your OEM battery's original location. Then, your total cost will be $100. This is what I did for about a year and a half.

Put your savings toward the next item you want to buy. If you are looking for "Bling" I think they are all pretty nice, but I have the Nisei kit and it is really classy.

smogy... any links to a good dry cell battery? I know Buschurs is 600 CC amps, but his kit his hella $$... I had to purchase it on my last EVO simply because I could not find a cheaper alternative. I too want to save the X lbs that a lighter battery has to offer, and similar to you and the poster I assume, dont want to spend the extra $$

I also have the Nisei kit, it fits like a glove and looks great! 20k miles on it going strong, even in the 20 degree weather
