Flywheel + clutch

Greetings from the land down under my good chums (Perth, WA, Australia resident here)

Okay, basically i have managed to fry my stock clutch, very keen on getting a new one and a lightened flywheel, here is a list of my mods to date:

Mods:

Ok, mods listed (none), I was hoping to take it into a workshop and get the exhaust and lightened flywheel/clutch fitted, now i know a lightened flywheel does not do much if i dont have too much horse power, but i really like teh "motorbike" "free-reving" nature of a lightened flywheel, but at the same time i dont want anything to break, i am looking at the ACT clutch (street) and just wondering if anyone knows a flywheel that is going to stand up to some slippage while still giving me that lovely free revving nature a lightened flywheel will provide.

Cheers
Peter

Our flywheels will be out in the next few weeks, which will be both more durable and lighter (10lbs and 13lbs) but I don't know what to recommend in the mean time. I don't care so much for the aluminum ones, and I haven't measured the Prostreet or RRE chromemoly flywheels to know how thick (thick = durable) they are.

BTW, thanks for looking at ACT for the clutch!

hey i was reading a thread about ACT's 6 puck disc. I was wondering if it would fit and work with the stock pressure plate?

my exede twin plate is the greatest clutch on earth or was rather....that thing held like crazy....i would recommend this clutch to anyone with 1300 to put in on a clutch/flywheel. plus seemed to make the turbo spool quicker

Yes, it would, and you will get a 30% increase in torque capacity and quicker shifting, for cheap $$. The problem is that you also get the bad traits of noise, chatter, etc. That is why we classify it as a race disc. It is really not something I would recommend for street use but some still do.

What do you recommend for street use?
