Edit: Misread something.

As long as the valve opens off throttle and vents excess pressure into the intake pipe, the configuration doesn't matter.

the only thing i can think of is this could all badly worded on spaceballs part and maybe he means the bov is installed backwards?? meaning you can flip the recirc side to uicp as someone else stated.

He also stated that you can mount the BOV just to the intake pipe. That is just plain WRONG.

its like he thinks because the recirc tube is more sturdy that it means thats what the bov is mounted to.

That pic he posted does appear to have the BOV "mounted" to the intake. To figure out what it's "realy" mounted to, just cap off that tube that connects to the UICP and watch what happens. You'll be sure to fix it quickly.

I NEVER said the BOV can ONLY be connected to the intake. I have only stated that he could move the location of the BOV to the intake more like the stock configuration. Everyone is blowing up on this its great. People only assumed by me saying move the BOV that somehow disconnect it from the UICP and only connect it to the Intake. If you read any of my post nowhere did i say disconnect it from the UICP. I just said move it location and switch the recirc hose.

A lot of people have flutter during cold weather. I know i do when it gets cold out even with the stock or the MR or the SSQV.

Haha, I think some people (us engineers) have a problem explaining their thoughts. You can mount a BOV anywhere you want as long as the discharge tube goes to the intake, and pressurized side comes from the UICP.

It's hard to say what was really said. All the edited posts could have said "mounting your BOV in the trunk is WAY better for performance" and then changed it to "mounting your BOV in the engine bay is WAY better for performance" and we wouldn't know since nobody quoted you. From what is writen now, you are write. You don't say anything about disconecting it from the UICP. But who cares at this point... I'm just bored at work.

jesterEVO: did you have to buy the hardware to hook up your aps bov? I just got my br upper pipe today. Do you have any other pics of it (from further away).

Sorry for the OT

edit: crap nm pretty sure I have it figured out now I didn't realize how nice these pipes look! They are nice and polished unlike the ones I was seeing on the website
