bov on ic pipe or intake

I have the buschur maf intake, logic performance ic kit. I currently have my Aps bov on IC pipe and it seems to flutter on turbo spool to when i let off throttle around 6k rpms. But on WOT it makes the sound it should. Think i should keep the BOV where i have it or relocated to intake pipe or adjust bolt at top of the BOV? Never touched it just put it in like as....opinions?

If you relocate it to the intake pipe it will become useless.

Just adjust the BOV it doesn't flutter under partial throttle.

it wont become useless, you could try it and it will make it louder but it sounds more like it needs adjusted as juiced stated

Are you serious?

Can you please explain the point in having a BOV in the intake pipe?

You do know the intake pipe is unpressurized.

The Upper Intercooler pipe is pressurized and is where the BOV should be.

the stock configuration has the BOV "mounted" to the Intake. In his picture the BOV is mounted to the UICP. It can be moved to different spots and still have the pressure be on the correct side of the valve. Your are correct in saying that the BOV should be mounted to the Pressurized UICP less pessurized amount of air even thought very same difference but when you are recirculated like him you can move it back to the stock location and it may change the vaccum/boost difference and cause the valve to work better/worse.

If i were u would quit trying to explain something you obviously know nothing about.

The setup is corect if it wasn't he wouldn't have the fluttering problems.

You have a hose that goes form your UICP to the BOV, form there it discharges into the Intake (MAF) pipe.

there's only one way to set up a BOV and have it actually vent.

If you installed as APS instructed it should be working fine. The problem with mine is that in the cold, it does flutter ALOT more than it did during the warmer days. You can loosen the nut at the top and it should help some. I did it and it doesn't flutter that badly.

Here's how mine is setup with the Injen pipe kit:

Believe me... with the Forge bov I had, the fluttering was constant no matter what spring I had on it. The APS is much smoother and holds boost as well.

From the factory it is mounted on a hose connected to the upper IC pipe, and has another hose (the discharge hose) leading to the intake pipe between the mass airflow sensor and the turbocharger.

A BOV mounted on the intake pipe would do absolutly nothing. You seem to not no the pursose of the BOV or you would not have these missconceptions.

Where did you study engineering?

Keith

PS: As much as I would love to, I will not be drawn into a flame war over this.
