The 4 bolt standard Garrett housing has a tapered diffuser casted into the housing which decreases back pressure. The disadvantge w/ this housing comes when fabricating a turbo kit. It sticks out alot more then a 5 bolt and that can make it very difficult to clear the A/C. I think Full-Race, Vishnu, and Ultimate Racing are the only companies using a 4-bolt housing on their Garretts. Both work well, it all comes down to fabrication.
