Wideband O2s come with their own gauge that provide digital, numeric readouts. What does your A/F gauge do if it isn't connected to a wideband? Those types are useless, because they read narrowband signals from the stock o2. Does your shows a number or a sweeping light (or both)? IF it's a number, then it's just converting the narrowband o2 into a guesstimated wideband AFR.

you can purchase an inexpensive WB sensor w/controller setup from Innovative Motorsports for ~$199 (or less on Ebay) called the LC-1. I have another version of there product called the LM-1 which has a few more features.

But basically with the LC-1 all you do is hook up the WB o2 sensor in your exhaust stream (18"-24" from your turbo) and hookup your A/F gauge input to the WB controller output that way the signal the WB is seeing will be displayed on your narrowband gauge, making it read just like a WB gauge but for much less $$$. Thats how I have my autometer gauge setup and it works like a charm.

Innovative ROCKS!!!1!!

But this is only if the current gauge has a numeric display. Showing the wideband AFRs in a sweeping display won't help, hah.

I don't know where you got that information from but its not correct.

I'm using an autometer analog gauge (the old narrowband light show), I have it programed to read from 14.8-10.9. But you can actually program it through the LC-1 or LM-1 to read at any A/F you desire. I just chose those two points because I want to know when I'm lean and when I'm safe.

What do you mean you don't know where I got that information. It's not information; it's just common sense. You need to be able to see the actual numbers for it to be useful. Just having little light bars isn't a good idea...much better just to spend another $100 on a real wideband with it's own numerical gauge.

Common sense huh, why do you need to "see" the actual numbers? Are you color blind? The $35.00 autometer gauge that I use has 3 colors red, yellow and green, the same as a traffice light... do you need to see the word STOP in order to hit the brakes or is a red light enough?? How about when the light turns green, do you need to see the word GO in order to hit the gas? When your at the track and looking at the tree does it flash GO GO GO?? The answer to all these questions is NO, that was using common sense.

Just trying to make a point that you don't need numbers to read the A/F. Infact with the Innovative products you can tell the gauge to output ANY A/F signal you like... you tell it what color to light up and at what AF ratio. It is a VERY powerful tuning tool that has multipal uses and excellent software/support.
