Dumb Question???
Dumb Question???
Just want to know i already got a air/fuel gauge that i bought a while ago from stewart warner, and i was wanting to know if i could buy a wideband kit but still use this gauge? If so let me know where i could get one and prices. Thankyou

Wideband O2s come with their own gauge that provide digital, numeric readouts. What does your A/F gauge do if it isn't connected to a wideband? Those types are useless, because they read narrowband signals from the stock o2. Does your shows a number or a sweeping light (or both)? IF it's a number, then it's just converting the narrowband o2 into a guesstimated wideband AFR.

But basically with the LC-1 all you do is hook up the WB o2 sensor in your exhaust stream (18"-24" from your turbo) and hookup your A/F gauge input to the WB controller output that way the signal the WB is seeing will be displayed on your narrowband gauge, making it read just like a WB gauge but for much less $$$. Thats how I have my autometer gauge setup and it works like a charm.

I'm using an autometer analog gauge (the old narrowband light show), I have it programed to read from 14.8-10.9. But you can actually program it through the LC-1 or LM-1 to read at any A/F you desire. I just chose those two points because I want to know when I'm lean and when I'm safe.

Just having little light bars isn't a good idea...much better just to spend another $100 on a real wideband with it's own numerical gauge.
Just trying to make a point that you don't need numbers to read the A/F. Infact with the Innovative products you can tell the gauge to output ANY A/F signal you like... you tell it what color to light up and at what AF ratio. It is a VERY powerful tuning tool that has multipal uses and excellent software/support.
